Not to say that NewsBlur...
Elegantly developed CSS3 checkboxes that requires no JavaScript. Although it seems that they only work perfectly in Safari. Designed by Mike Bernardo and coded by simurai—the same guy behind the BonBon CSS3 Buttons.
For years I subscribed to Rhapsody but eventually lost interest because of the lack of social features in communities like Last.fm. In fact because of this lack I even explored creating an extension of Rhapsody that would aggregate and share what you’re listening to (now I need to find a good use for the domain - grooveroll.com). A few weeks ago a new site Rdio was launched that provides both an unlimited stream of music and social features that actually help me find new music and see what other people are playing. As a bonus the UI and design is incredibly well done.
Right now Rdio is in private beta, and I currently have 3 invites no more invites to the service. If you’re interested in checking out Rdio let me know simply saying hi - jmoore@newezra.com Rdio also has a Tumblr blog setup that you might want to follow - blog.rdio.com
New York based design and animation studio Perception was asked by Marvel Studios to work on a simple graphics package for the upcoming movie Iron Man 2. Impressed by the results, Marvel Studios continued to work with Perception over six months to develop 125 shots, UI concepts, futuristic interfaces, mock broadcast packages, and compositing work to bring it to life.
Perception recently published a detailed case study with motion tests, style boards, concepts and final composites of all their work that went into the movie. Read the entire case study.
The tiny iPhone icons look clumsy spread across the iPad’s large 9.7 inch Multi-Touch display—enough so, that Apple decided to throw in a photo of some mountains to fill up the empty space. Is this what “revolutionary” looks like?
