I am a designer who lives in code, entrepreneur, and an idea incubator driven to make our world a better place.
Today was my last day at Tumblr.
Five years...
Two months ago I posted photographer Matthew Albanese and how he crafts detailed landscape using photographic techniques and clever use of objects and materials. Today on Behance I discovered behind the scene images of how he crafted the landscape models. Seeing all the work that goes into his art makes me appreciate it that much more.

Photographer Matthew Albanese crafts detailed landscape models out of materials and objects to create the illusion of these strange worlds. Using photographic techniques such as scale, depth of field, white balance and lighting he is able to achieve this strange realism.
The photo above, Tornado, is made of steel wool, cotton, ground parsley and moss.
