In an effort...
One of my latest addictions on my iPad is WURM for creating experimental generative art. The developers did a fantastic job giving you patterns, colors and shapes to play with, and then you can fine tune your masterpiece with all of the controls. WURM even has a blog setup on Tumblr (gallery.wurmapp.com) that showcases all the user submitted art.
I would love to see this become a reality in the upcoming Lion release. Merge iChat, Facetime, iMessage and some type of VoIP service all into one app and the circle will be complete. Then no one will be able to claim, “I didn’t see your text”.

Artist and programmer Marcin Ignac created these Haeckel-inspired randomly generated algorithmic creatures using Cinder—the cross-platform, open-source C++ toolkit created by the brilliant minds at The Barbarian Group. Cinder was developed for creative coding applications for Windows, Mac and iOS devices, and is being used to generate fictional organisms, provide visuals for Peter Gabriel’s latest tour, create the augmented reality for Esquire magazine, and much more.

The latest demo app for Sencha Touch is ShopStyle, based on the popular lifestyle native app for iPhone and iPad. Our web app showcases an “infinite carousel”, a new feature of our carousel component. The major feature of the infinite carousel is active DOM management that keeps the web app within the iPad’s memory limits.

The Flipboard iPad app takes your social feeds and converts it into a browse-able magazine format. By far this is the most useful app out right now on the iPad.
Anti-agency We Like Small created a wall of 20 iPods in their spare time over the course of three weeks. The iPods are running a custom iOS application that connects to a Python / Django web server syncing all the devices together.
One word: Friction
“Through casual research I’ve discovered that on average an Apple users jeans are 33% tighter than a PC user, and a shocking 90% tighter than a Linux user. Apple fans are also hamstrung by a lack of cargo pockets on their pants that these other users enjoy. The problem is bad with a pair of Earnest Sewns, and becomes increasingly critical when I switch to, say, my Levis 501 XX Shrink to Fit 1947 Selvedge Cone Denim.”
