I love the way that photographer Josh Adamski digitally manipulates his shots to give them a highly surreal landscape combined with simple silhouettes. See all of his work at 500px.
Set in the North Sea, Chris McClean & Mark Waters captured the stunning landscape and surf for their entry into the London Surf Film Festival.

Trekking to one of the most remote locations in the world, photographer Marcel Musil beautifully captures the serene landscape and unusually colorful Icelandic volcanoes.

Looking down on Kaanapali beach from above. Next week I’ll be back in my routine of posting often, but for now I’m taking a much needed break to unplug from everything digital while on vacation. Although when I’m dry enough to carry a phone I’ll post up a few shots like these on Instagram (jonathanmoore).
During a random conversation with strangers photographer Joshua Cripps learned of about Zebra Canyon while hiking in the Escalante National Monument in Utah. The journey to the canyon paid off with this stunning photo.
Compositing two images from the same location Mikko Lagerstedt created this moody view of the night sky. Only two years ago Mikko picked up his first camera and taught himself photography. Even more proof that “today everyone makes things”. Imagine what it would have taken 30 years ago to get started in photography and show off your work to millions of people.
Check out Mikko’s work on Flickr and RedBubble to buy prints. Found on Behance.net
Beautiful landscape images captured by German advertising photographer Michael Nager. I wish I knew more about where this photo was taken.

Beautiful example of Nordic architecture that blends into the scenic Stegastein lookout in the Aurlandsfjellet region of Norway. The gravity defying Aurland Lookout was designed by Todd Saunders and Tommie Wilhelmsen and commissioned by the Norwegian Highway Department.
For more amazing examples of the combination of scenic landscapes and architecture in Norway check out the imagery on the National Tourist Routes in Norway site.

Digital artist and matte painter Swinspeed beautifully composites multiple stock images to create imaginative and surreal landscapes. His Flickr photostream is full of inspiring landscape compositions, but some of my other favorite images are The Healing Nimbus and Last Days.
