I ran across a blog post...
After countless requests for us to create a theme that shines for long-form essays, articles and high-resolution photography we are excited to release Byron. Even though we spent a lot of time on the photo and text posts, every post type has been thoughtfully designed to create one Style Hatch’s most versatile premium themes yet.
From the beginning Byron was designed to be fully responsive so that your blog looks fantastic from the largest resolution screens, all the way down to mobile devices. Go ahead, try it out!
For a slightly softer and more “fashionable” style check out our alternate demo site for Byron Fashion.
Last Friday we pushed our latest grid-based theme live on Tumblr. Patchwork lets you add #featured and #minimal tags to your posts (or add your own custom tags in the Customize menu). The #featured tag will display your post in the grid across two columns, and the #minimal tag will only show your Photo, Video or Audio content with the full captions on the permalink pages.
We also spent quite a lot of time refining the theme’s responsive layout features for a flawless experience on mobile devices. Resize your browser window down on the demo site to get an idea of how it looks.
Check out our alternate demo site at patchwork-minimal.stylehatch.co to get an idea of how you can customize virtually ever visual element in the theme.
I have always felt like there are a lot of Tumblr themes that work very well for highly visual blogs full of images and then other themes that work well for long-form articles. Personally I want to start writing more on my blog, in between the usual posts about creativity, design, photography, and startups. With that in mind I designed and built our latest premium Tumblr theme Cadence specifically for myself.
Cadence is now for sale on Tumblr for $49. If you want more details on the responsive layout, two column grid, customization or theme options check out our introductory post or email us at email@example.com.
Also, you’re more than welcome to use the photograph that I personally shot in your header!
We finally took the time to set aside three solid weeks to overhaul, perfect, and improve our eighteen premium Tumblr themes. Nearly 200 todo items were crossed off the list and thousands of new lines of code were committed as we sweated over the details. It was a tedious process, but we feel like we owe it to everyone who has bought one of our Style Hatch themes.
Across all the themes, we added support for Tumblr’s new video player for clips you upload, the ability to add your Instagram feed to your blog, new social icons for Github, Instagram and Quora, and a lot of theme specific fixes and improvements.
A big thanks goes to Dominic Butchello on the Tumblr team for quickly approving a flood of updates we submitted over the last few weeks. We’re on hand if you run into any issues with the updates - firstname.lastname@example.org and @stylehatch
I am extremely excited to finally launch our newest premium Tumblr theme, Society! This theme was a personal labor of love where I poured a lot of time into the design and the build.
The layout features a fully responsive and elastic grid that stretches and fills the grid to your window. In order to keep the theme lightning fast, I added a lightbox style post viewer that loads in the high resolution posts. As you browse from post to post an HTML5 call is triggered to update the address bar. When you rollover the posts in the grid, you have a quick option to like or reblog each post. Like always, the theme also features a custom iPad and iPhone optimized layout.
To top it off the customization options allow you to tweak every color you see in the theme. As a demonstration of the options, check out the alternate dark Society demo site.
Check out our latest Tumblr premium theme Coco! It comes in three beautiful styles, but you can always customize it like the comic and art blog Magical Game Time with a few tweaks in the appearances menu.
Digital shop, Style Hatch and designer Regina Casaleggio, are pleased to welcome the latest arrival to the scene, Coco, a sweet, charming, sophisticated, theme with lots of heart and soul. This beauty is “out of the box” ready to enjoy and be shown to the world. To keep this one-of-a-kind masterpiece from being altered from its original state of beauty the customization features are limited.
Really this post was a good excuse to try out Tumblr’s new KILLER highlighted post feature. You guys are pretty brilliant!
